We have had a busy couple of weeks. Last weekend we enjoyed part of the Dew tour thanks to Travis and Dorie. Then I took Brandon to the captial. He had never been there before. I thought that every kid in Utah went there on a frield trip! Later that afternoon we headed off to the zoo with Riley and Troy (and their parents), I think it was more fun to watch troy than to watch the animals!Sunday we were able hear President Monson speak at a regional conference. He never fails to brighten a room as soon as he starts to speak. I think we all felt renewed in our desire to be better, to be kinder, and to be happier. Sunday night we had a surprise birthday party for my Dad. It didn't quite go as planned, but we tried.
This week continued with more Birthdays (Mom and Grandma) and then Friday we had a wonderful treat. We decided to go to the temple on the same night as the O.C Tanner gift of music concert at the conference center. The traffic was horrible but because we were going to the temple, they let us park at the conference center even though it was "full." We enjoyed our evening at the temple then on the way to the car we were invited in to the concert by the ushers outside the Tabernacle Choir, the Utah Symphony, and some special guests from Broadway. We noticed that we were probably the youngest couple there!
